Petite présentation de mon dernier travail de peinture : une chimère de Catachan. Je ne vais revenir sur la méthode, qui est globalement la même que pour mon Leman Russ. J'ai cependant innové sur quelques points :
Little presentation of my last paint job: a Catachan chimera. I will not go back on the method that is more or less the same as for my Leman Russ. However, I have broken ground on a few points:
Tout d'abord, la chimère a une lame de bulldozer sur laquelle j'ai voulu réaliser des bandes jaunes et noir. La technique est assez simple (à l'aérographe) : j'ai peint le fond en Illanden Darksun, et assombri les bords avec du Terre Sombre (Prince August Air). J'ai ensuite découpé des bandes de même largeur dans du scotch de peintre pour le masque et passé une couche de noir. J'ai ensuite passé une couche de vernis pour protéger la peinture, avant de masquer tout ce qui avait été peint pour pouvoir passer une couche de Leadbelcher.
First of all, the chimera has a dozer blade on which I wanted to make hazard stripes. The technique is quite simple (airbrush): I painted the background with Illanden Darksun and darkened the edges with Dark Earth (Prince August Air). Then, I cut strips of masking tape of equal width to mask and sprayed a coat of black. Then, I applied a layer of varnish to protect the paint job before hiding everything that had been painted to airbrush a layer of Leadbelcher.
Concernant la lampe sur la tourelle, j'ai cette fois utilisé l'aérographe et non le pinceau : j'ai passé une couche de bleu foncé, éclaircie sur un côté avec du Lothern Blue et terminé par un léger éclaircissement en blanc.
Regarding the lamp on the turret, I used the airbrush this time and not a brush: I applied a layer of dark blue, highlighting with Lothern Blue on one side and finished with a thin white highlight.
Bien sûr, j'ai quand même magnétisé l'ensemble des armes comme pour le Leman Russ
